How precision fermentation works.

Ganogen® reishi is produced via submerged liquid fermentation of Ganoderma lucidum, not field harvest. The production method is the primary differentiator. Precision fermentation takes days rather than months, happens in a controlled environment, and produces a standardized β-glucan concentration in every batch. Field-grown mushroom powders are subject to growing condition variability that makes consistent potency difficult to guarantee.

The 70% β-glucan content is the formulator-facing specification. Field-grown mushroom powders typically test at 10–30% β-glucans, sometimes lower, depending on species, substrate, and harvest timing. At 70%, Ganogen® is operating at pharmaceutical-grade standardization levels for a food ingredient.

The ganoderic acid profile (≥12 types) is the triterpene fraction of reishi, the compounds associated with adaptogenic and liver-supportive activity. Qualitative and quantitative profiling of ganoderic acids is part of the production specification.

Immune cell activity: measured results.

Ganogen® Reishi is backed by a randomized clinical study conducted in children and adults using reishi in milkshake, yogurt, and supplement formats (2014–2016). Results after supplementation period:

Immune Marker Before After
Total Leukocytes (cells/μL) 8,853 9,715
CD4+ T-Helper Cells (cells/μL) 1,498 1,622
Immunoglobulin A (IgA, mg/dL) 287 306
Natural Killer (NK) Cells (cells/μL) 318 385
Total Lymphocytes +16% (Reishi) vs. −10% (Placebo)
CD8 Cytotoxic T Cells +15.2% (Reishi) vs. −5.3% (Placebo)

The only clinically studied ingredient in our functional portfolio.

Ganogen® Reishi is backed by randomized clinical data showing measurable changes in immune cell markers. For supplement brands building immune support claims, clinical backing provides a meaningful substantiation advantage.

Applications.

Immune support supplements

Primary application. Backed by randomized clinical data. High β-glucan standardization supports measurable dosing for immune health claims.

Adaptogen blends

Reishi is a foundational adaptogen. Precision fermentation ensures consistent potency in multi-mushroom and multi-adaptogen formulas.

Functional beverages

High solubility and thermostability make it suitable for hot and cold beverage applications. Tasteless. Does not alter flavor.

Mushroom complex formulas

Pairs well with Lion's Mane for combined immune and cognitive positioning. Both are precision-fermented with consistent bioactive profiles.

Bakery & functional foods

Thermostable through cooking and baking temperatures. Can be incorporated into bars, baked goods, and snacks without activity loss.
